Visit a small Mayan construction that once collected taxes and discuss the historical importance of this entry point into the main land. Finally saving the best for last, visiting a very special bird nesting island that many species call home on their migratory path. Upon returning enjoy a picturesque sunset as it sets over the lagoons.
