TELL ME MORE; I'M INTERESTED!

Life is no joke. I know, I know, no one ever said it was easy but damn why does it have to be so hard sometimes?! 😎😰 When you are busy and things seem good enough, do you don’t think much about spirituality or what’s beyond? And when the shit hits the fan and life gets hard, do you find yourself seeking a higher power, someone or something to find comfort and solace in? You are not alone.

Spirituality is non-denominational, meaning everyone is invited to the party, and all religions, practices, and teachings are equally respected. The purpose of this Reconnect Retreat is to help you connect for the first time, reconnect or perhaps, connect more deeply with that, which helps YOU to sleep at night. There are no wrong answers.

The best way to stay standing through life’s obstacles is to have a spiritual practice and establish rituals to “reconnect” whenever you need the extra support. We’ve designed this reconnect program using tools and methods that we’ve personally experienced and know to be beneficial.

On this Green Maya Reconnect Retreat, you will be with nature a lot because the Earth is our essence; she is the source of all life, and she knows things! Nature is where you will find many of the answers you seek in the spiritual language of your preference. Ceremony has been practiced and honored for thousands of years; thus, we feel it essential to connect to our ancestors for ancient knowledge. You will experience many ceremonies and learn how to create your own. And finally, you will learn multiple ways to relax your body and listen for the messages of support and guidance from YOUR spiritual practice.

What you can expect…

Day One:

Welcome farm-to-table, a four-course meal prepared by the private chef and served in the lovely gardens at Villa Merida and finishing the evening with a Welcome Fire Ceremony to initiate the purpose of you being here!

Day Two: Time to take it easy, disconnect from your day to day

The morning will begin with light breathwork, yoga flow class to get the blood flowing, and guided meditation to help you re-connect with your subconscious. Then the chef prepares a delicious breakfast, and you shall sit where you wish in the lush gardens. After breakfast, we will come together for an altar-building workshop and journaling project. It’s a good idea to spend the first afternoon settling in and disconnecting. Deep tissue or relaxing massages, which do you prefer? And in between times, you have a large, inviting swimming pool, hammocks swinging on the verandas, or the comfort of your room to relax. As the sun sets, we will come together for a unique, participatory dining experience. 🔮🦉✨

Day Three: Looking to the past for knowledge

Today is action-packed! We will begin early to arrive at sunrise at the location for a jungle trek (4-7 km or 3-4 miles) into an area of protected Mayan lands. You will see abundant flora and fauna, a 15th-century hacienda in ruin, and experience a private, sacred cenote. While you float in the womb of Mother Earth, you will be entranced by a sound bath. We will be sure to make an offering to the ancestors! And return to The Villa just in time for a siesta! The afternoon is yours to do as you wish. We will see how the group feels and flow from there for dinner. Will it be a low-key dinner in or a lively dinner in town?

Day Four: Lead with your heart  🧡

Enjoy some solitude this morning, and we’ll see you at breakfast. Later in the morning, we will gather and prepare for your Cocoa Ceremony with Abuela Monica, our spirit guide who will take you where you need to go with an open heart. And then Let’s Explore Mérida! Much to see and do can be a great spiritual inspiration, such as art, music, dance, culture, architecture, food, and shopping (supporting the local economy)! We will stop for lunch on Paseo Montejo, a famous boulevard, before making our way to Cathedral de Mérida, the first cathedral in the Americas and built on top of a Mayan ruin. The history runs deep, and the energy is undeniable.

Day Five: It’s so hard to say goodbye

Laughing Meditation (seriously, it works! haha), Last Breakfast & Closing Circle 🤗🤗🤗
